Altus’s engineers are heavily specialized in Tubular Design and Analysis for Critical and Complex wells. We can assist you with standard design and particularly with advanced design problems that are beyond the reach of standard available industry software and solutions. Our area of expertise includes high pressure and high temperature (HPHT), deep and ultra-deep water, high deviated and extended reach, sweet and sour environment. Beyond these Altus has developed a considerable amount of expertise in the less traditional areas of tubular design for Steam, Geothermal and CO2 capture and storage (CCS) applications.

Altus’s engineers are experienced in post-failure analysis of complex well events to determine the root cause of the tubular failure. If the tubular analysis was carried out in-house by your engineers, Altus can provide third party audits and well design examination.

Altus can develop corporate design manuals and standards for operators and government bodies.

We can work with you to understand and refine your objectives, and develop a Scope of Work to meet them. We can then undertake a project in our offices to deliver the analysis for the agreed scope. Alternatively, we can work with you Onsite at your location – this may be priced on a time and materials or a day-rate basis, giving you more flexibility.

When and as needed for the situation, Altus has the background to develop proprietary code or apply commercial FEA software such as COMSOL Multiphysics®, Abaqus® and Elfen®
