Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)
Altus Well Experts advances in the computational modelling of CO2 storage operations enable accurate prediction of pressures and temperatures for both monophasic and biphasic CO2. This includes pure CO2 streams as well as complex mixtures with impurities. These predictions are critical for the design and verification of tubulars (tubing and casing) in CCS applications. The Altus PERIFOR application is equipped with state-of-the-art Equations of State (EOS) and multi-phase flow correlations for the prediction of CO2 flowing pressures & temperatures. Temperature and pressure simulations are provided for the wellbore system including all strings and annuli as well as extension out into the near-well formation. These detailed results can be linked internally within the PERIFOR application for tubular stress analysis or exported for use in other commercial applications. The Altus team can conduct CCS well design studies on your behalf or provide support and expertise during the various conceptual design phases of CCS wells.
