Complex Tubular Design & Analysis

Altus’s experts are specialists in advanced design problems outside the scope of standard available industry software and that go beyond the immediate priority of stress analysis of wellbore tubulars. Altus’s experts are WellCat super-users who can apply all advanced options provided within the WellCat UI (user interface) as well as extended workflows to push it past limits typically constrained by the standard UI.

The development of in-house proprietary tools has generated to a diverse array of tools at the disposal of the Altus team to answer the immediate needs of our clients for the analysis of complex well configuration.

Beyond the immediate priority of stress analysis of wellbore tubulars, Altus is actively helping clients in cutting edge aspects of well design such as detailed wellbore thermodynamics and complex temperature simulations, stability and structural failure of pipe including non-uniform loads and wear, behavior of non-anisotropic pipe (e.g. GRE), integrity and design of geothermal and other extreme temperature wells.

When and as needed for the situation, Altus has the background to develop proprietary code or apply commercial FEA software such as COMSOL Multiphysics®, Abaqus® and Elfen®.
